MIYAJIMA CAFE

Miyajima Cafe is the restaurant of Miyajima Coral Hotel located next to JR Hatsukaichi Ferry Terminal. The cafe is hard to miss with the red 1948 Packard Eight Touring Sedan permanently parked by the front door. The cafe is known for their plump burgers, but they are also known for their espresso drinks and original carrot cake. Sweet, moist and pleasantly carroty, their carrot cake pairs well with a cappuccino from their La Cimbali espresso machine. The menu changes season to season under the guidance of Aya Takahashi, a nationally recognized barista, who created some of their most popular items like their Espresso Banana Smoothie — a sweet, frosty blend of fresh espresso, bananas, caramel, milk, chocolate and ice. 

Miyajima Cafe is open from 11am to 9pm seven days a week. A meal will set you back ¥1-2,000 and a drink around ¥500.
