Hiroshima sightseeing countryside nature tradition temple

Kyokaku-ji is well known for its thatched entrance gate that was originally constructed in 1688. It was designated an Important Cultural Property of Hatsukaichi City in 1976. The temple is surrounded by rice fields. It’s the perfect starting point to enjoy the spirit of the Japanese countryside if you have time to take a walk.
