Exploring Japan’s countryside means discovering quiet landscapes, seasonal colors, and small communities that are deeply connected to nature.
Just over an hour from Hiroshima City, surrounded by mountains and fresh air, the areas of Saeki and Yoshiwa offer exactly this kind of experience.
Exploring these rural landscapes is part of the joy of traveling beyond the city.
It may take a little time to reach Yoshiwa, but the mountain scenery from the bus is part of the experience.
To reach the Saiki (Saeki )area, take the Green Hiroden Bus (Route #13) from JR Miyauchi-Kushido Station. These buses run 1–2 times per hour; please check the English digital signage at the bus stop for the next departure.
To reach Yoshiwa, take the same Hiroden Bus to the Saiki Culture Center (Saiki Bunka Center), then transfer to the Pink “Sakura Bus.”
Please refer to the Sakura Bus timetable below. Be extra careful with the return bus times, as services are limited.
